Silverbow is a stunning rural, country park set in 26 acres near Goonhavern, just 3 miles from Perranporth Beach, the perfect place to own a static caravan in Cornwall on a holiday park near the beach! Silverbow is owned and operated by Surf Bay Leisure, a family run business who have been trading since 1905.

 

  1. What types of holiday homes are available and how much do they cost?

Silverbow offers new and preloved static caravans and luxury lodges, with space for couples and larger families. Site fees are £4,990 for a 12-14ft wide caravan and £5,990 for a 20ft wide lodge. Holidays homes start from £45,000 depending on size and specification.

 

  1. When can I use my holiday home?

The park operates for 11 months a year; our season runs from the 7th of February 2025 to 2nd January 2026. Plenty of time to come and enjoy your Cornish getaway.

 

  1. Is it dog friendly?

Yes, Silverbow welcomes well behaved dogs, dogs must be exercised on a short secure lead unless exercising in the designated dog walking field.

 

  1. What’s around Goonhavern village?

You can walk to the village in minutes. There’s a Londis shop with a post office and a great selection of hot and cold food, a garden centre with café, a pub (The New Inn) serving local ales and meals, a skatepark and a children’s playground.  Community events like the summer produce show add to the local charm.

 

  1. What is there to do locally?

Great countryside walks, including local circular walks and access to the Saints Trail for walking or cycling to Perranporth. Nearby attractions include Lappa Valley Steam Railway, and the famous Healeys Cyder Farm. Beaches like Perranporth and Holywell Bay are just a few miles away.

 

  1. How close are the beaches and the coast?

Perranporth Beach is less than 3 miles away, perfect for a long dog walk, a surf or a dip in the sea and it also an excellent lifeguard service. Holywell Bay and Crantock are also within easy reach. Newquay with its famous surfing beaches and nightlife is around 7 miles by car.  

 

  1. Can I rent out my holiday home?

Yes, you can sublet your holiday home. We don’t offer a lettings service, but we can recommend local knowledgeable agencies.

 

  1. What facilities are available on the park?

You won’t find bars and restaurants at Silverbow, we are all about the peace and quiet. We have a dedicated nature reserve with a summerhouse and multiple ponds. There is also a dedicated dog walking field. We also have a 24/7 self service launderette.

 

  1. What are my ownership responsibilities and costs?

Owners are responsible for maintaining their own caravan or lodge, cleaning, general repairs and following the park rules. Annual costs include site fees, utilities and insurance. There is an ownership guide on our website which will walk you through everything you need to know. We also offer a 12-month warranty on all brand-new holiday homes.

 

  1. How easy is transport from the park?

Bus links serve Newquay, Truro and Falmouth from close to the village. If you’re a cyclist the Saints Trail cycle/walkway is right on your doorstep, giving access to Perranporth by bike.

It is very peaceful, we do not have noisy venues and music, our holiday homes are spaciously arranged with nature and wildlife in mind. You get quiet surroundings, easy beach access, great local facilities and the ability to sublet. Our costs are very competitive compared to other parks in the area.
